Did this solve the problem?

no, the problem still persists.

  • milestone changed from Release 0.6.2 to Release 0.7.0.

This is likely a problem with 64-bit machines, as it is working on 32-bit systems. This is not a priority for the 0.6.2 release, but something that needs to be addressed.

Carlos successfully built the USRP on a 32-bit machine on 11/15.

It seems like most dual core intels are considered 64 bit machines. I will guess this bug becomes a large problem for 0.6.2.

Maybe it is time to create the 0.6.3 milestone and start moving bugs to that?

  • milestone changed from Release 0.7.0 to Release 0.6.2.

This is an 0.6.2 bug. Create a new bug, if this is confirmed in trunk,

Is this the same problem as ticket #102?

The pastebin of the error log seems to have expired.

I am not sure how this is related to this problem:

  • priority changed from major to blocker.
  • status changed from new to assigned.
  • version deleted.
  • milestone changed from Release 0.6.2 to 0.6.2 Components.

Addressed but needs further testing (64 and 32 bit with release 0.6.2)

Philip's link looks very applicable. It looks like for fedora systems we need to install under both */lib/ and */lib64 directories.

Unfortunately, it looks like the GNU radio guys had to result to a bit of a hack to make things work...

The lib versus lib64 really should have its own ticket opened .... I think the compile issue has been fixed.
